When accessing Computrition Hospitality Suite on a Windows 2008 R2 terminal server the following error is encountered.
Error: Exception EOSError in module PRINTDLL.DLL at 06B87B90. System Error. Code 1400. Invalid window handle.
I’m not sure the exact cause but I can describe the behavior. First, Printdll.dll is a file in the Hospitality Suite. If the user profile on the server is initiated (first connection) by a user connecting using Remote Desktop Connection v7.0 (Windows 7, Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista SP1/SP2) and then subsequent connections are made from Remote Desktop Connection v6.1 or v6 (Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP1/SP2 (x86 and x64 editions) and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition) the error pops up when trying to use Hospitality Suite while using an RDC v6 or v6.1 client.
The problem goes away if you turn off the printer mapping in the RDC client. The issue is also resolved by deleting the user profile on the terminal server and initiating the user profile with a connection from an RDC v6 or v6.1 client.
